What We Do

Community Chapters

For a list of all Chapters, click here.

The Superannuated Teachers of Saskatchewan has Chapters in this province as well as British Columbia – in the Okanagan.

Chapter activities differ widely and may include speakers, tours, picnics, potluck meals, socials, parties, banquets, recreational activities, or tournaments.

Chapters meet regularly to discuss issues of concern, to maintain valued contacts with former colleagues, and to enjoy a time of fellowship.

Many Chapters are active in the volunteer work of the community, such as UNICEF, Meals-on-Wheels, hospital visiting, community history and folklore.

Group Benefits

STS administers the STS Extended Health and Dental Group Benefits Plan through Saskatchewan Blue Cross. For more information, visit the pages under “Membership & Benefits” on our website, and contact us with any questions you might have.

Recreation

See all upcoming events on our calendar.

Registration Forms

Provincial recreational events are held annually for: Bowling, Bridge, Pickleball, Curling, Fishing, Golf, Kaiser, Mah Jongg and Stitch ‘N Quilt.

If Chapters are interested in hosting provincial events please contact the STS office or a member of the Recreation Committee. We would also be open to any proposals for new events.

Retirement Lifestyle Planning

If you or teachers you know are making plans for retirement, you may be interested in attending a Retirement Lifestyle Session.

The session is 2 – 2 ½ hours in length and offers information on:
Transitioning – managing the transition to retirement
STS – information on the STS and the STS Health and Dental Plan
Retirement Planning – a Financial Planner will be in attendance
Just in Case – some reminders of papers to have in order

The Superannuated Teachers of Saskatchewan would like to invite school divisions, local associations, or school staffs to  contact us.
